Refund policy

This Refund Policy applies to every order from Panel Bound Comics (NguyenDistributorLLC, doing business as Panel Bound Comics). It works together with our Terms of Service and Shipping Policy.

All sales are final

We don't accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. The exceptions are items that arrive damaged, defective, missing or wrong, explained below.

Cancelling before your order ships

You can cancel any order or item, including pre-orders, back-orders, in-stock items and sale items, at any time before it ships. Email JP@panelboundcomics.com with your order number. When you ask to cancel, you choose:

  • A refund to your original payment method, less a 10% cancellation fee on the amount refunded. The fee covers payment processing and handling costs we can't get back; or
  • Store credit for the full amount, with no fee. Store credit goes to your Panel Bound Comics customer account, has no cash value and does not expire.

Once an order has shipped, it can't be cancelled.

When there is no fee

You get a full refund to your original payment method, with no fee, when:

  • we cancel your order or an item;
  • a publisher or distributor cancels a title, or can't supply it (including pre-orders and back-orders); or
  • an item arrives damaged, defective, missing or wrong (see below).

Damaged, missing or wrong items

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery at JP@panelboundcomics.com. Include your order number and clear photos of the item and the packaging.
  • Depending on stock, we will send a replacement, or give you a full or partial refund to your original payment method or store credit.
  • Please don't send anything back unless we ask you to. If we need the item back, we'll tell you how.
  • Minor shelf wear isn't damage. This includes a slightly wrinkled dust jacket or a small corner nick. Items sold as "Dinged and Dented," "Wear and Tear" or similar are sold as described.
  • Printing or binding defects from the publisher are handled case by case.

Lost packages

If tracking shows a package as delivered but you didn't get it, see our Shipping Policy. If you bought shipping protection at checkout, its claim terms apply.

Packages returned to us

If a package comes back to us because the address was wrong or undeliverable, the package was refused, or it was returned without our approval, we may charge a restocking fee of up to 20% of the order before refunding.

How refunds are paid

  • Refunds go to the original payment method unless you choose store credit. They usually take 4–5 business days to process after we issue them. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
  • Afterpay orders: refunds go back through Afterpay, which adjusts or refunds your installments under Afterpay's terms.
  • Rewards points used on an order are handled under the Rewards Program Terms.
